Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years is an expressionist love story, blooded through episodic memory with all the seamlessness of a dream. A breathtaking challenge and dream show for any actor, we are ready to tackle this beautiful beast of a show but we need YOUR HELP to make it happen!
As emerging artists, financial support is difficult to secure. Funding is often reserved for mid-career artists who have established reputations; it takes so much trust to fund young artists as our youth is often seen as a "˜risk' factor. Though we may be young, we have unlimited passion, dedication and artistic integrity. Our education at Cornish has given us the skill set and potential to produce polished shows, with honest performances and high production value. We need your help in supporting emerging artists-We are asking for donations to help cover royalties, pay for advertisement supplies, pay for design elements and compensate any professional help that we may acquire.
Anything helps! Any and all donations to help this amazing show meet its amazing potential would mean the world, and we hope to see you there in the audience!
This show will be performed at Raisebeck Hall this summer as part of Cornucopia, Cornish College of the Arts's welcome week for incoming freshman and their parents. Cornish has graciously provided us with performance and rehearsal space but all other production costs fall to us. Did we mention that this show is FREE and open to the public?
