When tragedy strikes, life for all goes on unless the tragedy is in your family...the world goes round and the days go on but life as they knew it stops and they have to live life with a new normal and a hole in their hearts that will never close. Their life is never the same!
Many have heard and simply can't wrap their heads around the awful loss of Ty Mathers who passed away suddenly last night, on his wife's birthday of all days, after undergoing a routinely "minor" surgery. He had the surgery on Wednesday and collapsed on Thursday due to a blood clot which resulted in a massive stoke. He died in the hospital on Sunday, July 31. Ty leaves behind his wife Gina (Bosman), and their 3 beautiful daughters...Georgia (16), Daphne (14), and Claudia (8). Sadly, this family is no stranger to devastating loss. In 2005, Ty's brother Shay, unexpectedly died. Gina also lost her sister, Trisha, and nephew, Fletcher, 9 years ago during what was supposed to be a joyous time of welcoming a baby they instead had to bury a mother and her newborn son, and then just 4 months ago she lost her mother, Norma, to a brief 20 day battle with cancer.
Gina and her girls world as they knew it has been completely shattered. Gina is a stay at home mom to her 3 daughters and Ty, like many husbands, was the sole provider for the family.
Like myself, many want to do something to help...our words of sorrow and condolence feel so small and life for them is a fog right now where our words are like passing air...we are setting this page up to show our love and support to Gina and her girls. We live in an amazing community with people who step up and help when tragedy strikes.
