Create a library, empower a girl

Donation protected
Many of us take the opportunity to go to school everyday for granted. Unfortunately, in developing countries, 26% of girls eligible for primary school are not enrolled and a shocking 65% of girls eligible for secondary school are also not attending.

Furthermore, many schools in rural, impoverished areas that are presently educating girls lack proper resources, parent involvement, and sufficient funding, therefore limiting the students' opportunities. Girls are less likely to get a proper education than boys. This has detrimental impacts on entire societies, as uneducated mothers cannot make educated decisions for the welfare of their children. As an individual, an illiterate girl lacks self-confidence and the tools she needs to succeed in society.

Our names are Zoha and Hannah, and we are two 15 year olds in DC trying to give girls' across the world a quality education. In March, we created a sustainable library for an underfunded girls' school in Pakistan. Right now, we are in the process of creating an NGO for girls' education in countries like Pakistan. Visit our website at www.her-education.org to learn more about our past projects, current initiatives, and girls' education.

Donate to our cause and help us create four more sustainable libraries with quality learning materials and trained teachers for four underfunded girls' schools in Pakistan. The $8,000 will be distributed among carpenters building furniture, librarians training teachers on how to provide upkeep to the libraries, and supplies necessary to organize books and learning materials.

Education is the most influential part of your life. An educated woman is the key to the successes of any society; she is able to make better decisions for her children and for herself, and she is motivated to become an active leader of her community in order to make a positive change. An educated woman is intelligent, mature, and most importantly, powerful.
