Carole Lennon Medical Fund

Carole Lennon was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early November 2012. The tumor was benign but it was attached and wrapped around the brain stem making this a much more serious & dangerous situation. She had two brain procedures and radiation treatments causing further health issues. Carole now needs bone reconstructive surgery to rebuild the bone loss in her jaw to prevent tooth loss caused by her previous treatments and surgeries. This Treatment is going to cost $50,000. on top of $10,000.00 she has already paid these past few weeks in the pre-op procedures. If you are not familiar with just who Carole Lennon is, Carole is one of the first and the only women to open a DIY rehearsal studio in San Francisco, Capp Street studios in 1984. She did this so that her two young sons Frankie and Andrew, who were in bands at that time would have a safe and fun place to rehearse. Carole played host to many local & touring punk & metal bands of the day giving them places to rehearse, sleep and feeding them as well. Caroles studio played an important part in San Francisco music history and she often hosted benefits for Artists, bands and local musicians in need, she also hosted benefits for other causes like Environmental, Animal Rescue and food drives. Carole would open her doors at Capp Street on Thanksgiving every year to feed all the local musicians and their friends who had no money to eat and no place to go for the Holiday. Today Carole Lennon owns and operates Lennon Studios in San Francisco and still provides a safe affordable rehearsal studio to the community. Carole still opens her doors and hosts benefits for local musicians and Artisits in need and she does annual benefits for Environmental and Animal rescue groups like Rocket Dog Rescue. Now Carole Lennon needs our help, so a group of friends & local musicians have pulled together this fundraiser to help Carole Lennon offset this financial nightmare.
