Mauritius Appeals 2013

£560 of £20,000 goal

Raised by 3 people in 68 months

Please donate for the victims of the deadly flash floods in Mauritius.

The flash floods on Saturday 30th March 2013 have cost the lives of 11 victims in the city of Port Louis and many more injured.  Considerable damage has been done to buildings, public infrastructure and people's homes.

The victims have lost a lifetime's worth of hardwork, with all their belongings swept away within minutes.

So far the people of Mauritius have united to provide the affected with food. Unfortunately we have to raise more funds to equip them with the tools to rebuild their homes and living essentials such as basic furniture, electrical appliances, and clothes amongst others.

We are a group of people going in the affected areas from door to door to seeing to the needs of the people and how we can help them to reconstruct their lives and stand back on their feet as soon as possible.

Depending on the severity of the damage caused, it can cost up to Rs 40,000 (£800) to help every family.

Our aim is to help children back to school and people back to work.

We are grateful for any amount donated.
