Jacobs Future

Tax deductible
My Name is Jeff Hartnady. I am the Park Director for the future Spencer Park Aviary & Wildlife Center in New Richmond, Oh. New Richmond is a proud and beautiful rivertown located in Clermont County Ohio on the banks of the Ohio River.
Jacob the Peacock has wondered the streets of New Richmond freely for many years and brought joy to all that have come to love him. He has become an iconic symbol of beauty that represent what New Richmond is all about.
Jacob has had his share of incedents with cars and local dogs where he has been thought lost but has always bounced back to his normal beauty.
Almost anyone visiting or living in New Richmond can attest that regardless of the day they may have had, seeing Jacob proudly walking the streets made life a little brighter that day.

Some say Jacob is just a Peacock. Most will say he is not a peacock at all but a living symbol of Hope and what Beauty can exist in any town with citizens who care.

Jacob recently experienced severe injuries to both of his legs as well as trauma to his entire left side after being struck by a vehicle in town. Although initial assements of his injuries appeared to be to untreatable, Our local Vetrinarian Dr. Dan Meakin at All Creatures Animal Hospital agreed that because of what Jacob represented to so many, that he needed to do whatever he could to save his life.

Dr Dan was successful so far as Jacob Is done with surgeries and on the road to healing. We will not know the extent of Jacobs recovery and future abilities for quite some time yet but he is definately showing the signs of healing and his perseverance.

Due to the extent of Jacobs injuries, once recovered, he will never be able to walk the streets of New Richmond freely again. It is because of this fact that this Go Fund Me page was set up. To many losing Jacob in New Richmond is like losing a little of New Richmond itself.

We have decided to build Jacob his very own Large Aviary, with a few of his friends of course, at our park which will allow Jacob to stay in the town that loves him. All donations made to this campaign will go directly to Jacobs on going medical cost, future care needs and his new enclosure. The vast majority will be for his new enclosure. Because our park is overseen as a zoological type facility, his enclosure will to meet all of the requirments set forth by the USDA and guidlines provided by the Zoological Association of America. Current plans for his new home include am impressive 15,000 sqft of living space.

Spencer Park Aviary & Wildlife Center is a registered 501c3 facility making your donation tax deductible.

Our latest Facebook post on Jacob has received over 22,000 views  and over 200 shares. Imaging if all of those views raised just $5 dollars we could almost reach our goal.

We thank  you so much for considering helping out this very worthy cause.
