A massage therapist from Kansas, Julie Bunnel is in need of immediate brain surgery. Julie is a loving being, volunteers at the animal shelter, takes in foster dogs and is only 27 years old. Julie is always helping support others including the arts.
Several weeks ago the doctors thought she had the flu. Migraines became more frequent and then seizures started on a recent doctors visit. MRI shows a mass at the left occipital lobe and pressure is on the 3rd and 4th ventricles.
Today, she was told she must have immediate surgery. As a self employed massage therapist Julie does not have health insurance.
All her colleagues are joining forces to help raise funds for her surgery as quickly as possible.
Even after the surgery, Julie will need to recoup and be out of work.
Post Surgery: Julie is in ICU recovery for 5-7 days.
Julie must have another surgery tomorrow April 9th at 5 pm to have a permanent shunt. Please keep her in your prayers.
Thurs 4/11th -Julie now has a Mohawk after 2nd surgery. All went well, altho she is very sore at incision sites. She is in good spirits and hoping to go home soon.
Fri 4/12 - Julie was released from the hospital and staying with her mom getting lots of spoiling and love. On her way to recovery.
