Beckstrom Family

Cancer is one of the worst diseases ever, so many lives have been taken and family friends devistated by it; emotionally and Financially. At the first of the month, Taylor Beckstrom one of my closest friend's wife Tricia became sick thinking what was just the flu, after a few days of getting worse we went to the ER where they performed some tests to find out she has a form of blood cancer Acute Myeloid Leukemia. They immediately started her on a seven day chemotherapy treatment after getting her stabilized. After the chemotherapy she started to hemorrhage on the brain. Adding the the problem Trish had a rare blood type antibody to match where she quickly used all the blood that was her match in the whole USA. Over 30 units were used to keep her alive to get her to recover for the next step where she is looking at a bone marrow transplant in the near future or more rounds of chemotherapy as needed. As of now they let her go home for a bit since her numbers were improving and while they wait to see the results of the bone marrow biopsy later this week. It's a long road ahead of us yet but already she has beaten some huge odds just to get to where she is today. With Taylor taking time off of work and Tricia not being able to work they are fighting to cover the cost for the treatments as well as everything else.
