Nathalia's Bad to the Bone (Cancer)

Nathalia, who is 12 years old is my niece, the daughter of a single mother, the sister of an amazing sister, the granddaughter of two loving, doting grandparents and a great friend and cousin.  Two weeks ago, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her leg, that has spread to her lungs.  She has a long road in front of her.

Nat and her mom, Kate will have to travel 2 and a half hours each way to see her doctor regularly.  Nat will have to stay in the hospital during her treatments.  She is also going to have to have a few surgeries. During that time, my sister will not be able to work as often as she normally does, which really is going to cause finanacial strain for them.

Our biggest problem now is safe and reliable transportation.  My sister, Kate, is a minimalist, and would drive her old car until the wheels fell off.  That car has a series of problems, including:
1. It doesn't have air conditioning
2. It doesn't have a back bumper
3. It only take premium gas
4. It is 16 years old

I am hoping that we can help her to get a safe reliable car that is gas efficient, and comfortable for a kid who is really sick. I also hope that this money can supplement some of her income, help pay bills, and for gas and parking at the hospital.

My sister is a wonderful mother, and my niece is a really  special, kind and thoughtful girl. She loves arts and crafts and minecraft, all things fashion, and spending time with her friends.
