Charlize Nebenfuehr Cancer Fight

Charlize was diagnosed in 2007 with one of the most aggressive forms of cancer - Neuroblastoma. 
Neuroblastoma is a disease in which cancer cells form in nerve tissue. It can start in the spinal cord, chest, abdomen or pelvis. Neuroblastoma is the third most common childhood cancer after leukaemia.  

Charlize was 2 years old when diagnosed with this cancer. She received 3 years of treatment, to have 4.5 years of no treatment with stable but active cancer. In 2014 the cancer became aggressive. 

Charlize has undergone 3 major surgeries, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and Immunotherapy, which she was unable to complete due to the progression of tumours throughout her body. 

As you can imagine this disease not only effects the family emotionally but financially. Chris and Karen have needed to reduce their hours at work so they can care for their beloved daughter Charlize.
