Tara's prayers and support fund

It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. When looking at the beautiful picture of Tara and her family, the happiness of youth and a bright future beam from their smiling faces. Years of infertility had robbed them of parenthood, and now they have been blessed with two loving adopted children from Thailand. In December of 2015, Alex, Tara, and Ezra welcomed sweet Evangeline into their family. This joyful time was brief as Tara experienced symptoms in March that lead to the devastating diagnosis of advanced stage Appendix Cancer.  At the age of 31 she is a new mother in the midst of a battle for her life.  

This very rare cancer is difficult to treat and Tara is currently undergoing her second type of chemotherapy in hopes to slow the progression, and in preparation for a complex surgery at the end of August. She will be traveling to Pittsburg for treatment and expects a lengthy stay there for recovery. She will have the support of her husband and family as she embarks on this uncertain journey. Tara has a fighting spirit and a deep faith that has carried her along this path. 

In times like these it is our hope that we as her friends and family can draw together to love and support her.  We cannot change her diagnosis, but we can pray for a miracle for her and financially ease the burden placed on her family.
