Carissa's Wheelchair Van Fund - R2R

We are the family of Carissa Newton. Our lives were changed on July 23rd, Carissa experienced a blown tire and was rear ended by a pickup truck. As a result of the impact, both cars burst into flames. Thanks to the courageous efforts of bystanders in the area, she was rescued from the burning vehicle and life flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital's STICU. She suffered damage to her kidneys, spleen, liver, broken ribs, spinal cord, and lungs. She has been THRU so much; despite ARDS, pneumonia, spinal fusion, strokes, brain injury, and other hospital related conditions, she is still here and we are grateful!
We have shared her journey of healing, recovery, rehabilitation and restoration, for the GLORY of God!
The cost and amount of expenses are increasing and insurance does not cover all cost. The money raised will be used for a wheelchair van for her transportation needs and other out of pocket expenses. We're hopeful that once this process of healing is done, she will go on and continue to live a normal life and to pursue her dreams of attending college.
