Have you every met someone who's soul and energy just brightens your day????
Let me introduce you to my new friend-Ileana Delgado. Over this summer I have had the tremendous pleasure of meeting her and her family (Sabastian-9 and Juliana-6). In getting to know them better, I learned of an unfortunate struggle they are going through. I can truly say that this family has been through things no one should endure!
Three years ago while living in Puerto Rico, Ileanna's health began to decline and they could not figure out why. After many trips to the doctor and hospital, they chose to leave everything behind and move to the continental US to seek out the best healthcare they could. Finally, a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma with Light Chain Amyloidos was given.
Now I work in the medical field and even have clinical background-yet have never heard of this, so let me explain a little further. Ileana is suffering from a Cancer which has attacked and was destroying her heart even causing MULTIPLE Cardiac Arrests. Fortunately, an amazing miracle happened a little over a year ago, where by the grace of God-she was able to receive a new Heart. Unfortunately, she is still in need of a Bone Marrow Transplant to hopefully kill and eradicate her body of Cancer.
The costs have become exorbitant-even with insurance ($200,000) which is why I am presenting this today.
No child should ever have to go through what Sabastian and Juliana have and I hope that you can agree by digging deep into your heart and pockets to donate. No matter the amount, ANYTHING is appreciated!
