Feed, Clothe & Shelter the Homeless

My name is Bertrain M. Bailey, I am the CEO of Someone Who Cares Ministries, Senior Pastor of St. John Dallas, Grace Frisco and Grace OKC. The Homeless is something that has been near and dear to my heart for as long as I can remember.
On Monday, July 25, 2016 I began my journey to become homeless for 3 days with only toiletries and a towel. No money, no shelter and no resources. I decided to live life as a homeless person so I could really understand their lifestyle, and find a way to help. My ultimate goal is to raise money to assist homeless individuals find food, reconnect them with family, and get them off the street for good.
On July 28, 2016 at Noon I’m going to feed hundreds of homeless people in Downtown Dallas before I end my journey, I refuse to gather data and a story and pretend like I didn’t hurt, cry, and see their pain. What kept me going when I wanted to quit, I kept saying if I can get to Thursday I know I have bed, I know I have a home, I know I have a restroom, these people have been homeless for years with no hope for a home of their own. They will not be leaving anytime soon. So help me make a difference and change some peoples lives.
Let’s raise one hundred thousand dollars to help the homeless it’s not going to end homelessness but it is a good start. I’m not asking one person to raise it by their self, I’m asking that all of us give to make a difference:
We are giving
A. To those who can’t stay in a shelter we can use the money to help with a hotel room. We can work with hotels and get a favorable rate for one night.
B. To those who don’t make it to the shelter to eat.
C. So they can have haircuts and clean clothes
They don’t want to look homeless, if they can get in a business to use the restroom, they will feel good about themselves, they will be seen by other people and not looked over like a familiar object that has become a part of the decorum on the street. We are giving to make a difference
