Randy's Wish - to Be at Home!

This is my very brave, sweet, loving brother, Randy, who is 55 and in the final stages of a very aggressive and rare type of colon cancer - appendiceal cancer (originating in the appendix).  Diagnosed at Stage 4 a little over 2 yrs ago, he has been at MD Anderson in Houston receiving chemo treatments, has undergone a devastating clinical trial and finally, hospice services.  As his body is being taken over by the cancer, his wish is to be at home - the house he grew up in - to spend his final days.  He and his devoted wife Caroline moved into my parents house a week ago, where they will be until the end.  Randy is in need of 24 hour nursing care and this is not covered by his insurance.  My parents are in their 80's and as any parent would do for a dying child, would move Heaven and earth to make Randy happy and grant his wish to be at home.  The nursing care costs over $400/day ($2,800 per week!) and my parents are spending their savings to cover the cost.  Thank you to all who have asked what they can do to help... in addition to your prayers, this is the best thing that can be done to help Randy out.  Please find it in your heart to contribute to making Randy's final wish possible, until he passes on to be with the angels.  There is a CaringBridge site (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/randyfurlong/mystory) that is updated with Randy's progress and setbacks.  Feel free to visit and see what a great man, son, brother, uncle and cousin he is and leave a message of your own if you are moved to do so.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated...
