Helen's Long-Term Care Home
Donation protected
This is Helen Konczal, my mom. She is a woman who devoted her whole life to her faith and family. She’s been diagnosed with vascular dementia and now requires full time, long-term care. We found the perfect place where she will be able to maintain her independence and dignity while receiving the support and care she needs. Yesterday, 7/25/16, I received the call that it is her turn! What a blessing!
… wait… what… her move in date is Thursday, 7/28?!
That’s right folks! It is happening that fast. The full bed that she has at my house will be too large for her room not to mention the other furnishings we need, moving expenses, etc. With every item I check off the list, I find two or more new things I didn’t plan for or didn’t know about. Despite our planning and best efforts, we still aren’t ready for this transition but we HAVE to be so now it’s time for us to step up, for her, but we need your help. Anything you can contribute to help us make her room a comfortable ‘home’ will be very much appreciated.
