Make Me a Citizen

My name is Simon Winnard, im a 38 year old British citizen on a green card and for the last 9 years I have been living with my gorgeous wife and beautiful daughter here in Connecticut USA. We've never been money rich but one thing we've always had is each other. The last few years have been particually hard on us after a unforseen illness and a bad accident at work, I had to have two operations a gall bladder operation without insurance and another on my knees which after almost two years have left me with little to no money to spare outside of bills, food and rent. Of course any extra pennies go to my eight year old daughter who has the patience of an angel. The problem with green cards is they are not permanent and need renewing every 10 years and although I do have some time left on my green card my co-sponsor is ageing and my family worry that acquiring the money is no easy target at the moment. Any money I raise will be directly for aquiring American Citizenship so my family don't need to worry about losing their husband or father, of course this means as much to me as it does to them. I am already so thankful for so many people in the last year or so who have helped me get back on my feet both metaphorically and literally. This would be the final step and make my small family extremely happy as it would make me happy to finally become part of what for me has been a welcoming country. 

If you can donate anything you will be making myself my wife and daughter extremely happy. If I reach my goal I doubt there will be a dry eye in the house and I can look forward to a better future.
