Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story! It means so much to me that you even consider helping me complete this journey in serving the women in my community through the Creighton Model Fertility Care System & NaproTechnology! I am very excited and blessed to have this opportunity.
In short, I love women’s healthcare. I love educating women about their reproductive system and gynecological health, and helping them to understand the beauty and gift of their fertility! Unfortunately, most women today are being short changed of this knowledge. They are being told the pill is the answer to all of their gynecological problems. They are suffering for years with infertility and miscarriages and being told that IVF is their only option. As a Catholic Nurse Practitioner who does not prescribe or recommend contraceptives, abortifacient medications, in vitro fertilization, or abortions to my patients, I have found there is more…there is hope…there is NapPro!
NapPro, aka Natural Procreative Technology, “is a new women’s health science that monitors and maintains a woman’s reproductive and gynecological health. It provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate completely with the reproductive system," (http://www.naprotechnology.com). NaproTechology uses the Creighton Model charting system to identify biomarkers of fertility through the menstrual cycle, and allows medical providers to interpret and treat disorders, hormonal imbalances, and much more. Napro upholds the sanctity of all life, the dignity of the woman, and works to restore her natural, normal, reproductive processes. It is truly amazing! I have witnessed countless miracles and success stories through the treatment of NaproTechology.
This fall, I will have the opportunity to be trained as a Medical Consultant of NaproTechology and FertilityCare Practitioner of Creighton Model FertilityCare System of NFP through the non-profit Pope Paul VI Institute! The training and certification process involves a 13 month supervised practicum that includes two intensive full immersion weeks at the Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. As a FertilityCare Practitioner and Medical Consultant, I will be able to help teach women to chart their cycles by identifying biomarkers of their fertility, which can then be used to identify problems within their cycles that may be causing infertility or a multitude of gynecological disorders, as well as being used as natural family planning (with a 99.5% effectiveness rate). Their charts can then be used to collaborate with fellow Napro consultants and physicians to obtain necessary restorative treatment!
The cost to receive this training including tuition, books, client teaching materials, travel (with my 7 month son tagging along!) comes a little over 5,300. Your donation will go directly to reducing these costs!
