My name is Blue. I'm a 3 1/2 year old rescue from Florida, I barely made it out alive.
Now I live in Vermont. My mom found out that I have bad back knees over the winter. My left one is so bad that sometimes I limp all day.
I used to go on hikes every weekend with my mom, I can't do that anymore.
I need an operation on my knee.
The vet will do a stifle surgery using a lateral suture technique to correct my torn cranial cruciate ligament, whatever all that means! All I know is that my knee will stop hurting and I can start hiking again next year.
My right rear knee is bad also, though not nearly as bad as my left one. I hope I don't have to have surgery on that one also.
The vet said it's going to cost between $1300 and $1500, depending on the damage. He wants to do the surgery fairly soon.
