Support Diaper Day for Refugees
The Refugee Support Center in Carrboro, NC holds a monthly Diaper Day to provide essential diapers for needy refugee families. Each month we distribute over 2700 diapers!! And every month we must turn away moms because our supply dries up.
Our refugee families struggle financially at times. In the US, many day care or other facilities that work with children under 4 years of age require that the family provide diapers. This can be costly.
We currently are on the waiting list to become a partner with the NC Diaper Bank to receive diapers through them. Until we become a Partner, the Refugee Support Center asks that you help these families by providing us with funds to purchase diapers.
If you've had children, you know how many diapers a family can go through in a month. You can help displaced families, many from Burma, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Syria, feel the spirit of giving and concern that is typical of Americans by making a donation for diapers.
I am the Community Outreach Facilitator for the Refugee Support Center and I guarantee that EVERY cent will go toward helping buy diapers for refugee families.
We are a registerd 501(c)3 charity.
