My day started like almost any other day, woke up to my beautiful wife Yvonne and the 2 best things that ever happend to me in my entire life Evan and Eric. I went on with my daily routine of making them breakfast and spending the morning with them watching their favorite cartoons and reading some books to them in between.

The morning passed and noon came, I received a call from a friend who wanted to hangout and explore downtown with me and a few other friends.  After speaking with my wife and making sure her and the kids needed nothing of me I told him to pick me up.

He arrived with two other friends and we went on spending a few hours in downtown and afterwards we decided to visit a local park in downtown called Echo Park. By this time it was a bit late but the park was full of people enjoying the cool breeze after a hot California day. Parents relaxing on the grass as children ran around chasing each other, people walking their dogs as others rode bikes along the park path. It felt like a safe place.

After just a few minutes we headed towards the Restrooms and as we got there a person was leaving one of the stalls. He glared at us with a very serious look but said nothing and kept walking away. We didn't think much of it and proceeded, as 3 of us waited on our last friend to come out the stranger returned. All he said was "What did you call me?" and with no hesitation he hit me on my chest. After a short scuffle between me and the stranger we seperated and thats when one of us said "He has a knife". Before I could process what just happened I was already falling onto the floor. As my friends catch my limp body and scream for help the stranger just walks away like nothing happened. All I can think of is my kids.......

Sadly this is how the life of my friend ends, the object he was stabbed with went through his chest and back puncturing his heart. The police have no leads aside from a description. In my heart I believe that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was murdered in cold blood for no reason and leaves behind 2 kids who he loved more than anything in the world. He also leaves behind his wife, 2 brothers, a sister, his mother and plenty of friends who considered him a brother. All we are asking for is any type of donation to help with the burial and to help his wife and kids. If you can please share and pray for his family. Thank You And God Bless.
