Deepavali (Festival of Lights) symbolises victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. The event attracts over 30,000 people over the three days attracting visitors from Perth, interstate and overseas. SFOL is a family friendly event showcasing multi-cultural dance, music, arts, food and culminates with fireworks. This multi-cultural celebration is a flagship event on the cultural calendar of Perth.
A dedicated group of over 100 volunteers have been staging this event since 2008 and we call it Swan festival of Lights (SFOL).
We are looking for funding to get started with 2016 event organisation and make this event sustainable.
