Kendyl And Friends Playground
My daughter, Kendyl, was diagnosed with Meningitis at 3 weeks old. We were told she would not live to be 2 months old. She turn 6 in November!! Although Kendyl survived this illness, she is partially blind in both eyes, immobile, requires wheelchair assistance, unable to speak, or use her arms or legs for regular activities.
So imagine being confined to a wheelchair and having to watch your peers playing on the playground, while you sat on the side and watched. That is what a lot of special needs children and adults experience on a routine basis.
This playground will provide special needs children and adults with the proper equipment to be able to participate like a typical child! The playground will be equipped with a ramp accessible play area, mirage swings, wheelchair swings, a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round, wheelchair elevated sandboxes, a braille panel, sign language panel, sensory disorder panels, etc.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, could change the way a special needs child participates with his or her peers!
If anyone is interested in more information or getting involved with a fundraising campaign, feel free to contact me!
Thank you for your time and consideration!
My sweet Kendyl!
