Barcombe Bonfire Night 2017

Donation protected
Barcombe Bonfire Society has had to cancel their 2016 celebrations. This is the first time the village will be without a celebration in over 30 years.

Like many things,  our bonfire society is suffering from lack of funding and support in the current climate.

We are a small society whose bonfire night brings joy to the village of Barcombe and visitors from far beyond. We stay true to our values in upholding the Sussex tradition of Bonfire. As such, our night is looked forward to by many visiting societies as a culmination of the season, typically being the last night in the calendar for many.

Our celebrations also provide a very profitable evening for our small local businesses.

On top of funds, we also need manpower and support. Be it manning a bar for an hour, wrapping torches or coming up with a great fundraising idea to raise the £8k needed annually. Please come along to a meeting at 8pm on the first Tuesday of the month at the Royal Oak, Barcombe or contact Charlie at through this page to find out more!

Please help us keep the tradition alive and come and see the excitment of Barcombe Bonfire Night for yourselves! If you've enjoyed Barcombe Bonfire in the past as a participant, spectator or visitng society please consider chipping in so we can be back with a bang in 2017!
