Internet radio station

Being a blind computer nerd, I've always loved audio. For years, I've been messing with audio production software and random free sound libraries I found on the net, making improvizational skits. Recently, I met a guy who is a professional musician and, like me, possessed a knack for making productions out of pretty much anything in life. He also has had much experience with running internet radio streams, and I believe in terrestrial radio as well. One of the weeks I was working with him, he decided to start an evening broadcasting class in addition to the assistive technology class he was already teaching in the Colorado training center for the blind. As of this writing, we have only had two sessions. The first was purely talking. We talked about the structure of radio, the various jobs people had at a commercial station and a few other topics. The second session, however, was the one that inspired me. First of all, I was the only one who showed up which allowed me to get a very hands on experience with everything we were doing. He broke out his professional DJ and playlist creator software and showed me how to use them in conjunction with accessibility scripts that made them function well with a screen reader. I quickly got the hang of the programs and spent the next hour and a half flipping through the playlist, occasionally choosing substitute songs and jumping every 10 minutes or so with a short talk break where I told people a current event of our training program and encouraged them to come up to class. When class was over, I didn't want to stop, so I jumped online, downloaded the trial versions of the programs we had used, and set up a broadcast server on a remote computer. I quickly realized, however, that I was not going to be able to move any further without a little money. I have most of the right equipment, but although cheap for their kind, the two programs I needed were still far too expensive for a high schooler, and what about songs? I'll need several hundred of those if I'm to capture and keep an audience. That's what it really comes down to. Working with audio is one of my greatest passions, and radio is another one. Both can be turned into lifelong careers if I put in the work early. If I can get all of your help, this experience now will be a very big help to get myself a good job in the future, not to mention great fun for me to manage and you all to listen to. Again, your money will go towards the purchase of the software, the songs, a hardware mixer and a couple new mics in case I find a cohost or get any guests, development of a station website, and for those ever present server costs. This project means the world to me, and I can't wait to move forward with it. Thank you all for any help.
