Starting over ain't easy

Many of you already know our home was broken into as we slept. Our laptops, backpacks, and checkbooks are taken. In my backpack was my graphing calculator and schoolbooks. They also got 5 years of writing I can't get back. Someone had already gifted me a new calculator. Police have recovered my wife's wallet and our (cancelled) credit cards. We just want to replace my books and laptop. Since this is my birthday weekend (I can't believe I'm saying this), I don't want books. I really need the laptop for school. I just want to pass algebra, and I have a lot of writing to catch up on. Thank you for all those who have pushed me to do this. As an addict, 8 years in recovery, I can say, I probably had this coming. I want always who I am now, but I'm trying. I truly hope those who took our things get what they need. It took a lot for me to stop using. I sincerely hope they can get clean before it's too late.
