Brian's wheels for life

Hi,
My name is Mary Myers,
I am Brian's first cousin.
It is with Great HOPE and saddness that our family has learned in the past few weeks that Brian has Cancer.
He had a Diagnosis of Testicular Cancer in which he had surgery to remove it, and with his Family history of Cancer, it was recomended to get a CT of his abdobmen as well. Those  CT results showed he has some Masses in the abdobmen, Liver and on some Lymphnodes in the renal area. He was then set up for a CT of his chest area in which we are awaiting the results for.
During this time you can imagine how our minds, thoughts and all of our actions are consumed with doing what ever we can to take the things that we do have control over, off of Brian's list of worries..
Those of you whom have been down this road yourselves or with someone you love and respect, already know and realize how hard or worriesome one becomes about letting others down or loosing a job because you are sick or because you had chemo and your body just feels drained..
When you are a Hard worker and a commited member of a Company, it's really hard to NOT feel guilty..but we have all tried to reasure Brian that he has many people in his life who Love him and want him to focus on getting better first and foremost ...so in saying that,
Brian will begin Chemo on July 25, 2016. He has always worked and lived all of his adult life in Chicago therefore public transportaion has always been the wisest and cheapest way to and from work. However, now that he will be starting 9 weeks of chemo we dont want him to have to take public transportation. So I have researched an Uber driver for him to go comfortably back and forth to each visit and the estimated total is $3,748 for 125 rides .
Brian has insurance but no long term disability so anything raised beyond this amount will be used for co-pays, perscriptions, and any other exspenses that he will aquire during this time.
These expenses will start to accrue very quickly so in an attempt to get out in front of the worries, we ask that you realize we will only keep this fundraiser open starting today thru August 31st , at which time we will re-evaluate the remaining test results and decide how to continue our efforts to help Brian get to chemo, worry free.
Words cannot express how GREATFUL our family is to have this outlet to reach out to so many of our Friends and family thru this Fundraiser. I do know that in times like this, we as family and friends often want, so badly to help in any way we can, but dont know what to do. this is a perfect way to be able to show your support if you choose to.
