Hike for Habitat and Animal Save

My husband, Kebby Margaretich and I are embarking on an 80 mile hike to raise money for two local charities.
We have worked with both of these charities for the past 10 years and we wanted to make this year a challenge. We will begin our hike at Sonora Pass and quickly climb to 10,500 foot elevation. We are taking everything we will need to survive on our backs. We will take Oscar and Katie as our support dogs. They will carry their food. The trip will take us between 10 and 12 days. We may need a couple of layovers to catch our breath. We have been talking about this for a while and when I turned 60 in January I decided this was the year to do it. We have a goal of $6000. We will be splitting that between Nevada County Habitat for Humanity and Nevada County Animal Save. Of course we would be thrilled to surpass that goal. If you would like to specify one charity or the other we can do that. Just put it in the comments.
