I’m sure you’ve noticed, but it’s getting dangerously hot!

It is this type of weather that overtaxes AWA’s air conditioning system and puts the animals and people at risk. The cooling system cannot keep up with the hot air that rushes into the building when the doors open & close or through the old style doggy doors making it impossible to cool the dog kennels.

The staff works misting the dogs, providing them with pools to wet their coats, fans, and limiting their outside activity. We even discuss the need to close the shelter for adoptions so the building can stay cooler.

Last year it got so hot we had to close AWA. We don't want to close and have any pets miss the opportunity to find loving homes. We need a solution that augments what we have and make it comfort for the animals.

We need…a portable evaporating cooler system designed to provide relief under the conditions we are facing!
