Last week, KRaP Art was shut down for building code violations at their new location that had just opened after thousands of dollars were spent and 6 months of hard work  were put in. I had spent another 3 months and thousands of dollars preparing the  location previous to this one only to have the property sold and the building torn down 7 months after I moved in to make way for a parking structure to accomodate the new Catapult 2.0 incubator currently being built in the previously known Cash Feed building.

Due to my displacement, the LEDC located this warehouse for me and assisted in the transition, only to now be shut down as this building has now been deemed 'unsafe' in the degree to which it was to be used.

We have been providing a safe place for our young teens and families to go and enjoy music and art for several months clearly advertising our mission and events. This shut down was a blow because our mission, our progress and our events  that have  occured have been transparent and even reported in the Ledger, on local news channels and posted publicity on social media with hashtags to the city on every posting.

So now, to keep this mission alive, we are reaching out to the public. I have exhausted everything I have and so I reach out to you for help in raising  money to recoup what I have spent on this and the previous building so we can afford to move to a new location and recreate a portion of what we created here. .

I am am working on a lease or rent to own so any money invested will benefit my ownership or that of the KRaP Art Foundation Inc, which is in progress.

KRaP Art is downsizing back to the original mission of art and permaculture education. This location brought  awareness to our community for the need to have a location for all ages to showcase their music and I believe the awareness has paved the way for Clifford and Swan City ShredQuarters to strike out on their own.

The KRaP Art Foundation Inc., has been created so we may reach further into the community with programs that will benefit those who cannot afford it. In addition, we are creating programs to include our retirement community with companion art and gardening programs that pair the elderly with our community of children.

We are currently in the proceess of meeting with an architect to figure mout the best use of the funds we recieve and will keep continuous information streaming as this information comes
KRaP Art is a mecca for all art and artists.

We want to show the world that there is beauty in everything if you look hard enough.

Kimberly is a recycle artist. She teaches workshops that show folks how to use everyday objects to make beautiful and functional art. She wants to be an advocate for the arts in all forms.

Art is a crucial part of development in children and adults alike.

Studies show that children test better when art is a part of their curriculum and there is a higher percentage of high school graduates when art is included in the learning process.

Krap Art is creating better communities.

I also feel that public art is a necessary part of community. It opens people's minds, brings communities together, all while beautifying the world.
