Stephen's wife, Amanda, is 8 months pregnant and a stay at home mom to their 2 year old son Arlo. She has selflessly dropped everything to take care for her husband.
This gofundme is to help support The Mills family while Stephen fights the fight of his life and his family takes the financial burden of Stephen being off work, all while welcoming a newborn baby into their lives in the next month.
Please give anything you can, even $1 helps! And if you can't give.... Pray, send love & envision Stephen healing from this cancer that has abruptly taken over their lives.
The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love that has been received. His service, although what none of us ever wanted to attend because it meant that our sweet Stephen was gone, was perfect and exactly what he would have wanted.
The guests that filled the church and the reception that followed...prayed over Stephen's family, surrounding them with love, friendship, tears, laughter, memories, music, good food and drinks and gorgeous flowers.
Amanda and the boys haven't gone a day without fresh meals dropped at their doorstep. They have been surrounded by people checking in and making sure their needs are met. Please check the meal schedule, as there are several days coming up that aren't filled.
We need to remember to keep this sweet family in our hearts in the coming days, months and years. As we vowed to Amanda and the boys that day in the church, we all stood circling around them, holding hands..
From this day forward,
As time passes and our lives carry on,
We will not forget down the road from now,
With the uncertainty of life that is always changing,
That Stephen’s living legacies will be experiencing their lives and milestones
Without their father and husband by their sides.
We will always remember to circle around his family and support them the way he would desire us to:
Sharing meals together, or simply providing a meal
Running errands together or for you,
Financially support you,
Invitations for BBQ’s, play dates, walks, coffees, wine, Nights on the town,
And cheering the kids on at the dirt bike track, soccer field, performances, graduations…
Amanda, you will not need to ask for help on your own – We will be your advocates.
We celebrate the rock you have been for Stephen and are honored to continue living life with you forevermore
Details on helping to build a #millsstronghouse will be in the next update. Escrow closes in the next week and Amanda will be updating their home to a safe and strong environment to raise her and Stephens kids in... but we need your help. We need community to help her with this!
Thank you to everyone for your support!
#livemillsstrong T-shirts are still available. Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing one.
We will all celebrate the life of Stephen Mills at
3170 Red Hill Ave, Costa Mesa, California 92626
on Friday April 21, 2017 from 10:30-12:30
Immediately following Stephen's service there will be a Celebration of Life reception @ Renewable Farms from 1-5 with food, libations and live music. We will dance, laugh and love like Stephen would want us too.
Renewable Farms is located at 1426 E Vermont Ave. Anaheim, CA. 92805
The farm is tucked away down a long alley off a residential street, so finding it for the first time can sometimes be a little tricky. From State College Blvd, head West on E. Vermont Ave. Pass a large Park then an Elementary School on your left hand side, once you see the address 1428, make a left down the alley. Follow the Redwood fence, make your fist left, and you've arrived!
Here is a link for the meal train to feed their souls in the coming weeks.
More information to come about his upcoming celebration of life.
Please continue to send photos for his memorial to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you. #millsstrong #teammills
My mom has cancer also and we travel back & forth from the bay area to Stanford hospital b/c teaching hospitals are the best. My mom has brain & lung cancer. & the tumors in her head shunk also.
Prayers for your family
That protocol works for a lot of people! Cancer feeds off sugar and baking soda is an alkaline which the tumor cannot survive in. It has to have an acidic environment. The tumor feeds off the sugar and the baking soda kills the cancer cells. Anything is always worth a try!!! Praying for you family.
