School Uniform Bank

Our local voluntary group, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Care, recently set up a School Uniform Bank in the area. Our aim is to ensure that every child in our communities has access to the essential items they need for school.
A few weeks ago we got the keys to our premises, which are essential to sort and store uniform. We have been working with a number of local schools to recycle unwanted uniform, and appealing directly via Facebook for items we don't have in stock.
This week alone we have 11 referrals for families who simply cannot afford school uniform for their children. We will ensure that they get what they need before the new term starts.
But to do this we need funds - and urgently!
We've been raising money at local gala days, mainly selling delicious cakes and running lucky dips. But it's not enough to do what we need to do.
So we are appealing for a little help. £5 will help us purchase an essential item of uniform. Lots of £5s will help us buy even more uniform and supplement our fundraising for our rent!
The families we are helping really need your support.
