Names released of firefighters killed in Humboldt County crash
Jake was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and nephew. He thoroughly loved the job he did in the mountains he grew up in. He also loved skiing, fly fishing, his dogs Duke and Stella, and his beautiful girlfriend of three years, Bettina.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers that you please assist with memorial costs.
Any remaining funds will be donated to directly to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, which helps families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and assists injured firefighters and their families during difficult times.

Jake is survived by his parents: Leonard and Cynthia (Tootie) O'Malley.
Leonard O'Malley (Jake's father) will be directly responsible for withdrawing and managing the donations raised on this campaign.
He is also survived by his brother, Kyle O'Malley.

Just wanted to send my condolences to the O'Malley family. So very, very sorry for your loss. My boy's "The Briscoe's" went to school with the O'Malley boy's many year's ago. I do hope you all remember us, it's been a long time. Hug's and prayer's to the family.
