Marathon for DaliDogs Home-Year Two!

Last year when I fundraised for the marathon I was really successful and the difference it made to the pound was unbelievable. They cleared a lot of vet bills and were able to buy food and blankets to help them survive through the winter.

In all this the volunteers at the Dali Dogs home are unable to make any transfers out of the country which means they can't pay for flights etc. Last year the pound only had enough money to feed the dogs ten days for every one month, its even worse now. Lately massive amounts of new strays have been coming into the shelter and government funding is too low. They are suffering because the politicians and bankers have managed to bankrupt the country and now there is not enough funding for the very minimal care of these animals. Lots of families have left the country and abandoned their animals because of the drastic economical situation. 

Volunteers are working around the clock even though they all have full time jobs and families to get as many rehoused and fostered as possible and luckily they are being really successful but they still need our help to pay for the vets bills, food and for pet passports and help fund the flights. 

Myself and Jonathan Roberts are running a marathon in Amsterdam October which is a whopping 26,6 miles. I would love it if anyone who had a spare fiver or tenner knocking about would donate it for the hungry doggies. Every euro makes a massive difference to them as they can buy big bags of pasta and make sure they all go to sleep with a full bellies or get out of the cages to proper families who will give them a good, loving home.
