Hello I am Tyler, I am the current President of the Thurston High School chapter of SkillsUSA.
SkillsUSA is a career oriented club for High School and College students. SkillsUSA Oregon has over 40 different industry competitions. The club is meant to implant leadership and industry knowledge in order to prepare for their future.
The money raised will be for the use of our SkillsUSA chapter, I receive no personal benefit from this. It will be used for state and national fees, competition fees, and any equipment our members may need at their competition.
Our goal is to get as much money as soon as possible in order to be ahead and prepared for the SkillsUSA Oregon State Leadership and Skills Conference in April.
Last year we had five of our members attend the SkillsUSA Oregon State Leadership and Skills Conference. Four members participated in the drafting competition, one won and attended the National Competition. My first year I competed in the Criminal Justice competition and won 6th place.
We would be extremely thankful for any donations made to this cause. It goes to a great club that is recognized nationwide and supported by hundreds of big businesses. This club supports the next generation of America's work force. Thank you.
