This is Odin, he's the new wildlife management dog at the Alpena County Regional Airport.  He's used to chase off birds that are on the runway and airfield so that they aren't a danger to the plane's coming in.  It is a less leathal way to deal with the birds, we've had a lot of success and the bird count is way down.  So we've not had to shoot nearly as many birds. We've started a go fund me page so that we can help offset costs for the new harness for while he's at work.  It'll protect him from any debris so that he's not being scratched or hurt while on the job. Also we plan on using part of the funds raised to get a k9 trauma first aid kit.  It'll be used for emergency that may happen to Odin if injured at work before taken to the vet,. Anything is very much appreciated, even if all you can do is share this because it still helps get the word out!
