In March, 2017, Ron Milkas found out he had Multiple Myeloma when he got an X-Ray for what he thought was a broken leg. It turned out to be a tumor.
In August 2016, he and his wife of 30 years, Margaret, and four of their seven kids (five of them were adopted) still living at home moved to Adel to be closer to his new school, where he taught Special Education.
Because of his diagnosis, he won't be able to continue teaching and will lose his insurance coverage in June. Ron will be on chemo and radiation for about a year, so he won't be able to get a new job. It will also be tough for him to continue being an active Deacon in his church, coach his kids teams, and help take care of their kids.
After the surgery in March to remove the tumor, the medical bills started piling up. Without your help, they stand to lose their home and their car, which is needed to get Ron back and forth to treatment about an hour away.
Please help this amazing man, who believe in helping everybody else in their times of need. Thank you.
