Liver transplant expenses for Val

My greatest loves and passion in life is my family, friends and teaching.  I had to resign my teaching position in December 2015 due to being diagnosed with end stage liver disease (NAFL - non-alcoholic fatty liver).  I have spent the last six months completing all of the medical requirements to be able to be listed for a donor liver.  I got word in June 2016 that I am now officially listed.  While they (Piedmont Hospital Mason Transplant Center) cannot predict a timeline for a donor, I am now on the list.

I am humbly requesting your assistance for medical expenses preparing for and completing the transplant process.  The after transplant process will require frequent hospital trips and labs to make sure the new liver is thriving.  The Transplant Center recommends fundraising to meet these costs. We are currently paying on four separate hospital plans in addition to separate entities for labwork, etc.

I am so very grateful for the love, support and prayers I have received already from family and friends.  I am blessed with my wonderful husband, Dale and my joyful daughter, Katelin.  We all thank you in advance for your support.  If you feel inclined, please share the gofundme page with your friends and colleagues.
