Greetings Everyone :D
This is Miguel Angel Simòn , and I would love it if you could take a moment out of your lovely day and read what I am reaching out to you for.
As of very recently my wrestling coach, Frank Johnson, at Warner Pacific College has given myself, as well as three other wrestlers an opportunity of a lifetime. What's the opportunity you say? Being that my coach is heavily invested and in love with the sport of Wrestling (Collegiate, Freestyle & Greco), he has planned for select wrestlers from our team that have shown; drive, dedication, persistence, and camaraderie from within our team, as well as off the mat in our daily lives to visit the beautiful country, and mecca of wrestling, IRAN :O

We will be landing in Tehran, Iran from which we will head to Shiraz, Iran and get to witness four majestic, action packed days of the Greco World Cup Competition. Once we gain our consciousness from some great wrestling we will be heading to Esfahan, as well as Ardabil for eight glorious days of hands on learning/ training with their Junior, and Senior wrestlers...

We plan on leaving the U.S. on May 15, 2016, right after our semester of school is over with. Yeah, quickly coming up, and return on May 31, 2016. As you may know, traveling anywhere does come with quite a bit of cost, and we have covered most of it ourselves thus far.
With the undying work ethic of our coach, school administration and us wrestlers included, we have accumulated enough to cover $2000 for EACH person's costs. This includes flight tickets, food, transportation, lodging, insurance, and all that good stuff.
Nevertheless, I am now looking to my family, friends, fellow athletes, and of course, The Wrestling Community for the last stretch of support. I wish it were for another reason aside from needing to cover the rest of costs, but I need to remind myself time and time again, I'm a college student foremost, and I can't do everything, even though I strive to.
So, I come to you in this time of need, in hope that if there is any way you are able to help me on this great endeavor to gain some knowledge about what the sport of wrestling means to someone on the other side of the world, gain technical knowledge that will help my own journey in this sport to become the best wrestler possible. Yet, more importantly, worldly perspective, compassion, and understanding in these times where our news and other types of media have portrayed certain places as "bad," deeming them unsuitable to visit. I want to knock those barriers down, and be the voice opposing them. One thing I've learned in my time would be indicative of the statement below,
"Don't listen to what people say, make your own opinions and conclussions, find out for yourself,"
and that is the way I like to think I've lived my young life so far. I'm asking for is a whatever you can spare. If it's a penny, I'm going to cherish that penny, thank you, love and will forever be indebted to you for anything that you need, ill be there (not that won't help already). Be part of my experience, and I understand if you aren't able to contribute it terms of money, but I ask if you aren't able to, please refer/SHARE this Link/Letter to someone that you think would be interested in helping in any way possible.
