Hello my name is James Albert. I am from San Bernardino and will be representing my congressional district (31) as a delegate for the One and Only, Bernie Sanders!
My life changed forever just over a year ago, when I attended the Bernie rally in Los Angeles at the Sports Arena with my mom. Being surrounded by 27k like-minded progressives was a foreign concept to me coming from a notoriously conservative community. The connections that I made there and the inspiring speeches given by Sarah Silverman and Bernie were enough to push me over the edge into the revolution pool!
Since the rally, I started attending voter registration drives, phone banks, and debate watch parties. It didn't take long before I started organizing many of these events in the Inland Empire. With the help of great mentors, such as Bobbi Jo Chavarria, Yolanda Gonzalez, and Jody Isenberg I have become a fully-fledged community organizer.
I can definetly relate to the saying that Bernie has given a voice to the voiceless. As a young millennial (24 years old), I never knew how to properly defend my positions on certain arguments. In the last year, I have learned being a progressive isn't about fighting for solutions that will aid only our cause, but will transcend all ideologies and creeds.
