My name is Nickolaus Lewis and I was just elected as a PLEO Delegate to the Democratic National Convention, being held in Philadelphia on July 25-29, 2016 for Bernie Sanders as part of the Washington State Democratic Delegation of 118.
I am a enrolled Lummi Nation Tribal Member, a 8 year US Navy Veteran and also a father of 3 amazing young boys, and also 1 little amazing 2 year old cousin who lives with me now.
I honestly hesitated on creating this Go Fund Me account because of being a elected offical my self (Lummi Nation Tribal Council). However after thinking about this for a while I had decided to do this so that with any of the addional donations recieved, I would be able to help cover any other National Delegates who are going with us to represent Bernie Sanders that maybe short on any funding for things that they need help with along with myself. we all need your help in getting to Philidephia, we cant all do this alone...
We are in this together we need to work together, help and support each other in anyway we can, while bringing the values that Bernie Sanders represents and stands for to the Convention. He has brought awareness and passion to the causes we all care so deeply about such as Enviroment, fighting back Wallstreet, pushing the cause of equality and judicial reform across the country.
We as National Delegates need to bring the voice we was chosen to represent, the 99% whos voices are often fallen on deff ears of those in power, We need to continue bringing the passion that has ignited a nation and stand together to defeat a man who is a threat to us all who would be the republican presumed nomenie this year.
