Support Power of Peace In Schools!

Tax deductible

Power of Peace Project, Inc. is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting young people, inspiring them to a noble purpose, and setting them on a pathway to their dreams.

Young people are struggling more than ever before to escape the traps of isolation, addiction, and abuse; which can lead to incarceration, overdose, accidental death, and even suicide. The Power of Peace Project offers 40 Day programs that help young people avoid these pitfalls, make better choices, and find purpose and meaning in their lives. Many schools desperately need these POPP programs, but just don't have the funds. Your contribution will help sponsor a kid through their entire forty-day program for just $1 a day: "40 for 40." You can personally help our future leaders beat the odds, and set them on a pathway to their dreams.
Hope is the New Dope!

POPP serves in schools and communities through several curriculum initiatives offered in 8 week modules.  Kicking off with an energy-filled rally, and concluding with a celebratory graduation and awards ceremony, the POPP 40 Days to Freedom, 40 Days to Peace, and 40 Days to Power challenges students who commit to practicing seven nonviolent principals, daily journaling and reflection through the eyes of iconic peacemakers and world changers.  They actively engage and participate in innovative group exercises and projects that delve deep and speak to what is going on inside of them.   Over the course of 40 days, they change the way they see their world. POPP gives hope. POPP opens their minds and hearts to infinite possibilities where options and inspiration previously seemed lacking.

Teens sign a forty day peace pledge committing to seven nonviolent principles for forty days. They receive a POPP journal and an “I am the Power of Peace” wristband which they wear throughout the project. Every day they receive quotes from famous peacemakers such as Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Teresa.  They take on a daily peace action challenge which includes thoughtful meditation and journaling around the peacemakers. They meet weekly in small groups to share their stories and support one another.  Their forty day journey offers healing and transformation that leads them to become powerful young peacemakers. Throughout the process they celebrate  and are rewarded for their positive behavior. At the end of the forty days there is a big graduation celebration which includes music, presentations, awards and a feast. Together they create a powerful "Peace Post" (a symbolic monument and work of art) which is displayed at their school to inspire future classes to continue what they began.

Even the hardest kids to reach come alive through POPP initiatives.  Strong leaders, bullies, and at-risk youth alike, all benefit.  The bully becomes the peacemaker, the shy kid finds a way to help others and gain confidence.  The teen suffering from depression is uplifted and finds the hope needed and the strength to not only live but to thrive.

The Power of Peace Project finds commonality amongst all youth and together, they come to understand how they are not alone in their struggles and how they need each other and can effectively support one another.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP!

POPP currently has been invited to several high schools and a middle schools where funding is lacking.  POPP goes where it's invited and wants to reach as many young people as possible.  Some of these underfunded programs have begun and with the help of wonderful people in the community-- like you! We intend to raise the funds needed to make sure these programs succeed where needed.

POPP needs your help NOW to fund these valuable and life changing programs in our schools!

WHAT YOUR MONEY WILL DO...

The regular 8 week program fee is $12.50/week per student, or $100 per student over 8 weeks.

In an effort to raise funds, POPP is offering a special year-end incentive campaign :  "40 for 40."

For just $1 a day, $40 will sponsor a youth for the entire 40 Day program-- and change a young mind.

POPP is protecting kids, saving lives, reducing criminal behavior,  entry and reentry into the criminal justice system.  POPP is influencing academic success and increasing graduation rates.  POPP provides HOPE.  Hope in a young person's world may be the critical link between choosing another day of life or giving up on it.  Visit POPP's website where you can see testimonials from brave young people who chose to give life "40 more days."

HOPE brings relief and encouragement.  HOPE moves in the direction of solutions to the problems young people face.  HOPE brings peace and promise to their world, to their community, and HOPE provides the first leg up on the path to purpose and passion. The Power of Peace Youth Movement inspires young people to practice compassion in their community.

HOPE IS THE NEW DOPE.  PLEASE HELP US SPREAD HOPE!

Power of Peace Project began as an idea, which led to an experiment, that developed into a program, which has become a movement.  Please help us spread HOPE!  Meet the founder and president and learn how it all began. (See short clip below)

In addition to the high schools and middle schools, POPP operates many other successful programs for youth development including its college campus inititiatives where young people are getting inspired.

Check it out-- the future looks bright when our youth are thriving and living lives of purpose and passion! (UGA POPP video below)

So will you help us?

No contribution is too small—we need your help to reach our goal and continue spreading this global youth peace movement. You are the Power of Peace, so BE the change you wish to see in the world—TODAY!
