** Get Elsie Home **
Our lovely neighbour Elsie Stockman Bradshaw flew to Sorrento for a weeks holiday to celebrate her 90th birthday. Unfortunately just 12hrs into her holiday, Elsie tripped on a kerb and ended up in Sorrento Hospital needing a hip operation.
15 days later she and her daughter are STILL waiting to be flown home by their 'Insurance company' for her to have the operation. Everyone has advised for her to have the operation at home!
Please donate to get Elsie Home. Would you like your Mum to suffer like this. Read her daughter Jane's report below which was posted on Sunday...

"Please Share To Get Elsie Home. On 7th June, 12 hours after arriving in Sorrento, my mam fell and broken her hip and had to be admitted to Sorrento Hospital, where she still is now awaiting a hip replacement. Justtravelcover.com whom she was insured with have been horrendous. We've made at approx 40 calls to them trying to get her home. The doctors at the hospital recommend she goes home for the op, the British Consulate also recomend this, we were relieved on Tuesday to finally get confirmation that she could go home by air ambulance, medical documents speedily supplied, everything going fine until Friday when they changed there mind, you see in small print is states that if a hospital can provide medical treatment in that country, medical treatment needs to be done there. The surgeon at the hospital has advised in all his years he has never had anyone in this situation before. He has sent people home with all kinds of fractures, as it best that the patient understands what the procedure is and the aftercare involved. My mam asked for pain relief in the night "non capito", she also asked for aqua "non capito". She get 2 pain relief injections a day, the rest of the time we are topping this up with ibuprofen. This is totally unacceptable for a 90 year old woman. If the insurance company had advised us earlier that they were not flying her home they could have operated on her and she would be on the road to recovery, but they have left her in agony in a sweltering hospital bed. She will be operated on Tuesday and then have to spend anothet 10 days in hospital. It is breaking my heart.....please share so no one else get this horrendous treatment! "
