Ashley Bisbee

My name is Kelley. I am trying to raise money to help my daughter, Ashley Bisbee pay for her upcoming NJ feeding tube. Ashley has been sick for a year and a half now. It all started with the flu in January of 2015. She continued to be very sick with nausea, extreme fatigue and severe stomach pains which caused her to lose about 35 pounds causing her to develop SMA Syndrome. SMA Sydrome is an uncommon but well recognized clinical entity characterized by compression of the third, or transverse, portion of the duodenum between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery, basically this arterly is lying on her small intestine because she no longer has any fatty tissue between the two . This results in chronic, intermittent, or acute complete or partial duodenal obstruction. She is 5'10 weighing at 98 pounds and until she gains the weight back this will not go away. We have been to several doctors as well as the Mayo Clinic without any sucess. Her doctor has decided to place a feeding tube in her on June 16th, 2016. She has already raked up 10s of thousands of dollars in doctor and hospital bills. Our insurance doesn't help much at all anymore since they changed it to a very high deductible of 7,000.00 per year a few years ago or this would not even be an issue. We have already almost exhausted our HSA this year and we do not know how much this will cost to keep her on this feeding tube for 4-6 weeks but we must do it to get her well ASAP. She hasn't been able to work, go to school or live life like all 21 year olds should be. She is totally exhausted from being sick for so long and it has been exetremly stressfull on her and our family watching her suffer every single day! She calls me while I am at work almost everyday crying in pain and I/we cannot and will not let her live life this way anymore! Ashley is a young, beautiful , extremely intelligent girl with so much life ahead of her that she is unable to live right now but she soon will. Anything would help and would be greatly appreciated even if it is keeping her in your thoughts and prayers every single day until she is strong and no longer in pain.
