Fractured skull, stopping a rape

Good morningIt's been suggested to post both short version and a detailed story for those who want to know more. Thank youMy name is Mark Baker, I live in Buffalo, NY Please keep in mind, i live with daily pain even though this happened on January 10th, 1998 as I worked as a part time limousine driver. I had 2 females, 4 males customers. During that evening the males drank too much, were passed out, and the females did not drink. That is when the trouble started. Three outsider’s (men) started to go after the females. Apparently ( from what I've been told ) I got out of the limo to  stop them, not knowing of the fourth who came pup behind me with either a lead pipe, or a baseball bat, the police do not know for sure. I ended up with a fractured skull stopping what police called a  possible rape since the women were too afraid to talk. I ended up with a Severe traumatic brain injury, had to under go Occupational speech / memory therapy,  physical therapy to help me walk a straight line, and balance, also Photo therapy where I had over 200 treatments sitting in a dark room for 20 minutes with a funnel up against my face, where i had to stare at a different color light every day dealing with the damage to my eyes to make the muscles stronger. I'm in pain every day since then, the migranes are so devastating, and the only control I have on them is Cranial PT, which helps align the temporal bones. i have to go twice per week .  Believe me, there isnt a one time fix - it..Two months ago the insurance company stopped paying, and unless I pay, and that kind of cash i dont have, the PT office wont see me. On January 10th, 1998 I worked as a limousine driver, I had 4 males, and 2 females celebrating New Years eve a little late due to they all worked that night. That is all I can remember, everything else had been told to me by the Buffalo Police, and the Asst. District Attorney Sharon Lovallo (Now Judge Lovallo). During that evening the males drank too much, were passed out, and the females did not drink.That is when the trouble started. Three outsider’s (men) started to go after the females. Apparently ( from what I've been told ) I got out of the limo to try and stop them, not knowing of the fourth who came up behind me with either a lead pipe, or a baseball bat, the police do not know for sure. Some of their information came from a witness in an upstairs apartment window who heard the noise, and the rest came from the women. Problem now even gets worse, the women recanted, claiming they do not remember anything since they were in their words drinking too. With the investigation, by both the Buffalo Police detectives and the D.A. they discovered through the bar owners, that the women did not drink, and with looking into it further, they discovered the women knew the assailants and were petrified.I ended up with a fractured skull, which effected the mastoid process since part of it is now missing, also the Temporal bones which are situated at the sides and base of the skull are now moving in opposite directions, that’s when they decide to move. What they’re not doing is moving backwards and forwards together like they should. I also ended up with a nasty perforated ear drum. After I list all the problems / medical information, I’ll continue with what I’ve been trying to dealing with for the last 18 years, then, hopefully someone help or can clue me in on how an insurance company is allowed to play GOD and deny the treatment that has helped me exisit. Guess they forgot that the police indicated I stopped a possible rape, and again “possible” only because the women lied to save themselves.It was also medically noted ( back then ) that I had Post – traumatic syndrome, Post – traumatic headaches, Post – traumatic cognitive dysfunction, Post – traumatic stress disorder, Post – traumatic visual, and Post traumatic vertigo. I "was" a mess.Afterwards I began Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Physical therapy I started dealing with my eyes at Aurora Optometric Group and was treated by Dr. Richard O’Connor a behavioral optometrist for visual disturbance who had me in well over 200 times for photo therapy, which helped strengthen my eye muscles since they did not work together any longer due to the blow I received at he back of the head. I had difficulty coordinating the two eye vision test.All during this time my right ear felt like I was in a high altitude since it was always plugged, for 5 yrs, 24 hours a day. During this time I was seeing an ENT specialists for pain, ringing, a whooshing sound and this plugged feeling. I was also under the care of Dr. Laszlo Mechtler Director of the DENT Neurologic Institute who had me start Cranial PT. Within 2-3 weeks, and for the first time in 5 years my ear wasn’t plugged any more, the pain and whooshing sound was gone also. The ringing persisted but believe me I was overwhelmed.When going through treatment my Cranial Therapist would worked my Temporal bones for starters, lining them up so that they would move in the same direction, and at the same time. That is the reason my ear stopped giving me issues, and over time my migraines were fewer in between. Sad to say this was the ONLY help anyone could give, and it was temporary relief of some very nasty pain. I was going once a week. If I didn’t go, due to being sick, etc, I would feel it. Pain through out my head, and no drug would work fast enough or was guaranteed. Migraines are extremely unpleasant, enough where suicide entered my mind (back then) and so much pain that I couldn’t even see myself wishing the one who hit me would suffer this. My eyes felt like they were being crushed, every tooth felt like everyone needed a root canal due to pain radiating, i had even experienced bright flashes in my head, where it felt like every neuron in my head lit up like a Christmas tree in pain. I couldn’t stand, lie down, walk, talk, and the only thing I remember is vomiting due to all the pain even if nothing was in my stomach.Everything was going fine as long as I kept my appointments, until an IME (Independent Medical Examiner) I was scheduled for, back in 2006 pulled my fingers, had me walk a straight line, touch my nose, and found me fit to return to work, and no more PT. I didn’t even see an X-ray of mine laying around his office. So no more PT. Problem with that is all the bones are connected, the skull to the spin, shoulder blades, and so on. Within a year, and after being denied too many times, bones start to tighten up so much, and besides daily pain it caused my shoulder to start creeping up towards my head, enough to where I couldn’t pull it down, and it felt uncomfortable wearing any type of shirt.Finally after going to court, again, and being looked at like some circus freak they resumed my PT, although due to this now I needed to go twice a week, and after a while trigger point was now required which helps when my right shoulder elevates towards the head. Cranial PT IS LIKE BREATHING TO ME. IT HAS TO BE DONE! Well a few years went by and this time in 2014, AIG Insurance had me see two IME’s, except this time they BOTH agreed that trigger point, and cranial therapy should be considered as necessary ( they were being video taped along with me having a witness ) One IME’s Dr. Hughes ( the very first IME who had stopped by Cranial Treatment ) also indicated the cranial cervical massage therapy requested by Dr. Mechtler is authorized. I will include his report on facebook.Now for the next issue, Ive been trying to deal with the jugular bulb on the main artery which sits behind the mastoid bone, separating it from the ear canal, happens to be 3 times normal size which keeps me from doing anything physical. I can’t play outside with my children, I can’t run, lift anything really. Look at it this way, anything that raises your heart rate increases the size of your blood vessels, which increases my jugular bulb size, which means from what doctors told me if I do to much, it will expand, possible burst, and I drop dead right there. I hear and feel my heart rate in my ear when I do more than I should, like walking too fast.Now there are a couple more things for now I’d like to address. At first I was lead to believe that the ringing in my ear, 24 hours a day is not related. Just something I had to live with. I discovered a while back that a fractured skull can cause that ringing, and its not getting any better, especially since the insurance company denied the hearing aid that was recommended. Sad to say it was nearly $6000, which is why I didn’t buy it myself. Can you imagine while laying in bed discovering while on my left side could not hear my woman’s voice unless I raise my head which is most disturbing. I need this device, and I need permission or help to go back to the PT since they won’t see me due to not being paid. They did inform me, if I had the money, they would see me. Average bill at PT was well out of my reach, especially twice a week.On to the next problem which started last year and it scared the hell out of me. The outside of the left eye looked like there was a stream of water coming down. I had no vision on that side, and no water / tears were coming out. Then about a month later it happened on the outside of the right eye, and the third time my woman had to guide me to a place to sit since both eyes were affected so much I couldn’t see. I seen Dr. Mechtler and found out it’s called visual auras, and that they are basically migrains in the eyes, and with no physical pain. I didn’t do anything wrong, I didn’t lie, and just started my second job at the time. I’ve lost so much over the past 18yrs, when stopping what police called a possible rape. I'm trying to rasie money to continue my Cranial PT since it was stopped again, even though back in March 2016 a Workers Comp law Judge instructed AIG to pay, AIG refused due to their IME report. This Independent Mecial Examiner - video located below, lasted less than 2 minutes, the Doctor indicated I wasnt allowed to video tape - it is legal in New York, but i wasnt going to argue with him nor tell him he was wrong that i signed a paper indicating i wouldn't tape. Yes my eyes do hurt, especially under florescent lighting which will cause dizziness, vertigo. Thankfully his waiting room is mainly lit by sunlight, and I did see what I read. With tying my shoes ( he included that in his report to the insurance company ) stating no need of further medical treatment, he also wrote no recording device was used. This guy never did any physical, he asked me my name and that was it. Yes Im still waiting for another court date, no I haven't had Cranial Physical Therapy in 3 months, and the pain is increasing.
