The Ladybugs Movement is a community-based organization with the mission to empower and improve the lives of women in Los Angeles by increasing access to hygiene products.
Why is this important?
We can often forget how much of an impact hygiene products can have on someone’s personal health, happiness and overall public health.
How you can help?
Join by spreading the word, collecting products, donating ($) or volunteering with us!
Our current focus for this campaign is to collect feminine hygiene products because shelters across the Los Angeles area have vocalized the continous shortage of these items.
Products on our wishlist include but are not limited to:
- Maxi pads
- Feminine cleansing wipes
- Antibacterial wipes
- Hand sanitizer
- Adult diapers
- Underwear
- Deodorant
- Toilet paper
- Travel size shampoo
- Travel size body wash
or any other travel size hygiene products
All monetary donations will be used for the purchase of these supplies.
Where will your contributions go?
We will continuously have Hygiene Kit Making Days where we will create pre packaged hygiene kits and distribute all of our donations to shelters, specifically servicing homeless women, in the Los Angeles area. Our past beneficiaries have been the Downtown Women's Center and the Los Angeles Mission - Anne Douglas Center for Women.
