Cottingham Allotments - Repairs

 Hull Daily Mail link ‌Over the weekend the Allotments in Cottingham have been mindlessly vandalised. Not a few broken plant pots but whole greenhouses smashed to bits, fences kicked through, sheds ransacked.

These idiots have wrecked 90 plots. Plots where people have spent hours, days, weeks, months and years making their own.

This fund is to help with expenses these plot owners will now face to rectify the damaged which has been caused.

Words of one of the plot owners, Willow Boyle "Every single one of the 90 plots has been trashed, beyond belief. I can only talk for our own, but there is hundreds of pounds worth of damage to our plot. Something that my dad and I care about and have spent years building and creating our awesome little space. Our shed, that we built and decorated, and filled with presents and items that we have collected from all around the country. The fence that my dad spent months building to try and keep the rabbits out! And the little gate and entrance, that we built from scratch, out in all weathers to get it completed. And the lovely bench I bought my dad for Father's Day, so he could sit and chill and listen to the football on the radio, on OUR allotment. I'm sure the thugs who smashed every panel of wood, every glass window and trampled all our stuff didn't give any of that a second thought."
