MAKING RADA POSSIBLE

My name is Francis Lovehall , I am 21 years of of age and I'm about to start my Acting Training at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art). It has been a very long and hard year for me, especially when it comes to the whole Drama school process, which consist of rounds upon rounds of auditions. Finally I can proudly say I made it into arguably the best acting school in the world. ( I'm just going to say the best, it sounds better).
Now that I've been accepted, I'm faced with the problem that I can't afford to go. Student finance does cover my tuition fee but living and moving cost is whats making it near impossible, especially because the school is located in London the cost of rent is incredibly expensive, on average £175 per week.

I am desperately trying to raise £1800 to be able to move out of my mums house and relocate closer to the school. So why am i moving out ? The area I live in isn't exactly the safest most nurturing place to be especially when undergoing 3years of acting training. Growing up in Walworth Road, south east London has been an experience that has made me who I am today and I honestly wouldn't change that up-bringing for the world. But iv come to a stage in my life where this place cannot help my development any longer. being around people that don't understand what your going through or how important it is isn't helpful and would just make it so much harder to really focus on myself and nurturing my craft for the next three years and beyond.

Of the £1800 I'm trying to raise , £1678 will be used for moving cost, that is the deposit for the flat to be able to move in. The other £122 will be put towards equipment cost for the course which is calculated to be £147 and the rest Will be covered by me with the help of student finance. the issue is that unfortunately student Finance does not release any funds until the start date of your course, which for me is 14th of September. I need help to make this possible, The money is due starting from the 3rd of September we then have 7days to complete the payment.

I have been hesitant about doing this campaign for such a long time,due to over thinking , I don't know why I just thought no one would care, I kept telling myself that there are bigger problems than mine. But its just not that simple, this opportunity means everything to me and just the thought that the lack of money, the lack of support could get in the way upsets me.
