Sweet Child of Mine in Edinburgh

My name is Bron Batten and I am a theatre artist from Melbourne. For the past five years I have been touring a performance called Sweet Child of Mine that I made with my parents. It's about art, theatre and what they think I do for a living.
My Dad has been touring with me for the past 5 years and appearing live onstage, and my Mum appears on video and via a phone link.
Dad and I have performed the show in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Wellington and Chicago.
We have been planning a tour to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the past 6 months, but unfortunately over the past few weeks my Dad has become very unwell and hence is unable to join me in the UK.
But I am still going over to the festival to perform the show- and I'll now be recruiting local Scottish Dads to stand in for my father and appear in the show with me.
But I need your help!
The time has come for me to throw my hat in the metaphorical ring and ask for a donation of your hard earned dollars in order to support this show. Of course I would never actually throw my hat in a ring, metaphorical or otherwise, as I don't wear hats because my head is way too large.
WHAT I WILL SPEND YOUR CASH MONEY ON
It's rather expensive to take a show to Edinburgh- and you can only live on sandwich lunch deals from Sainsbury's for so long. I also need to employ a producer to help me with wrangling the local Scottish Dads and to cover the extra production costs that this new development has thrown up.
I leave in less than a week, so if you could find it in your heart to sling me a few dollars I would appreciate it so very much. We're nearly at the target and I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all of our amazing donors so far.
If we raise any money over and above the target, I am going to donate it to the Beyond Blue Helpline, which provides support for people suffering depression and anxiety.
