Volunteer Services:
For 21 years have organized a National Indian Women’s Honoring Lunch in WA DC to recognize the accomplishment of Women Leaders from around the United States. Provides volunteer Domestic Violence support services.
Chair, Native American Caucus, Washington State Democrats. Committed to equitable treatment of all people. Committed to the participation of all 29 tribes & Indian Organizations to participate and support the WA State Democrat Party and the election of Native Leaders.
Elected Committeewoman for Clallam County 2009-present. Support and Vote for Clallam County Resolutions at three State Democrat meetings a year.
Northwest Indian College Foundation Vice Chair. Raise funds for scholarships for Native Students. We have 1,400 students from 130 Tribe who attend NWIC.
Awards:
2001: Selected as the “Distinguished Alumni for Antioch University” and
Guest Speaker at the Antioch University Graduation
2002: Clallam County Appreciation Award for the development of Youth Services
Peninsula State College Appreciation Award for 10 years of Volunteer Services as a Board of Trustee member. Appointed by two different Governor’s of Washington State
Two National Indian Health Board Awards: (a) Development of Home Health Care for Senior Citizen Services and (b) On-Site College Credit Training for Tribal Staff
2004: Northwest Indian Women “Endearing Spirit Award.” (WA, OR & ID - 43 Tribes)
2005: NWIC Foundation “Board Special Recognition Award” Goal to raise 44 Million for new college
2008: ATNI Native Vote – WA “Award of Excellence” Title: Amazing Role Model for Native Women
2008: WA State Democrat Central Committee: 2008 Hillary Delegate
2012: Female Clallam County Democrat of the Year Honor
2012: Potlatch Foundation: Pearl Capoeman-Baller Award: Community Service Award (WA, ID & OR)
2013: Women Empowering Women for Indian Nations (WE-WIN) Lifetime Achievement Award National Indian Women’s Leadership Award
2016: Elizabeth Peratrovich Tlingit & Haida Award “Civil Rights Award” at UW Intellectual House.
2016: Guest Speaker at the Evergreen State College Graduation on June 5th. Olympia, WA.
